Rendezvous Quartet
Meg Baker - tenor Cheryl Foley - bari Kim Bartell - bass
Rendezvous competed in our first regional competition in the spring of 2009. We are excited and gearing up for our second competition.
Melissa Malesh leads our group with a fabulous mix of fun and dedication to the craft. She is an exemplary elementary school teacher who applies the same level of excellence to her singing as she does to the classroom. We are so grateful to have her at the helm. Melissa also sings with the Upper Chesapeake Chorus. When Melissa is not singing (or perhaps even when she is), she is raising two teenagers alongside of her wonderful husband, Bill.
Kim Bartell is a recent addition to Rendezvous, but she is not new to barbershopping. Kim began her barbershop career with Upper Chesapeake Chorus and has spent the last handful of years with the Pride of Baltimore Chorus. We are all extremely excited about having Kim as our bass. When she's not singing, Kim teaches computer education classes to middle schoolers and to middle school teachers.
Meg Baker hits all the right high notes as our tenor extraordinaire, both in Rendezvous and in the Upper Chesapeake Chorus. She is such a gift to our quartet! Meg has one teen still at home, several grown children and a few grandchildren (she was a child bride
The quartet is rounded out by our baritone, Cheryl Foley. Cheryl stumbled upon the vocal music scene after years of instrumental music. Cheryl spends her time learning the weird baritone part, sharing the parenting of two children with her husband, Gene, and teaching middle school science. She is a member of the Upper Chesapeake Chorus, as well.

). Meg's husband, Ed, holds down the fort while Meg is off creating harmony. Meg works for Harford County as a computer programmer.
